The Club Sentry Class Check-in feature allows you to automatically check-in members under a specific membership type even if it isn't their primary membership. This is a great way to handle class check-ins.

The Basics - When a member checks in, Club Sentry automatically uses their Primary membership to determine whether entry is allowed. If you sell "Class" memberships as an add-on to their Primary membership, and a member is checking in for a class, you would have to manually check the member in. To do this you would click on View All Memberships and select the membership to check the member in under. And you would have to do this for each member of the class. With the Club Sentry Class Check-in feature you would simply select the upcoming class as the default check-in membership some few minutes before the class begins. Since most members attending a class check-in a short time before the class begins, every member checking in with the default class membership would automatically check-in under the class membership rules. If the membership is limited to a number of visits, it would deduct a visit from their remaining total. If you charge an additional fee, the front desk attendant would be prompted to collect payment. After the class begins you can change the default check-in class membership for the next class or turn the feature off. If a member is checking in but does not have the default membership, they will check-in normally under their Primary membership. 

Create Class (Membership):

In the Membership screen, create your "class" by creating a new membership that meets the conditions of the class. When you create your classes they can be limited to a number of visits, an amount of time (in minutes), specific days of the week (and times of the day) or a specific time period. You can also make classes "Pay Per Visit" where the member pays an additional fee at check-in. Create as many Class memberships as you wish giving them descriptive names that will be easily recognized by your Front Desk staff.

Select Default Membership for Check-in:

In the Check-in screen, click the Start Class Check-in button to bring up the Select Membership screen.

Click on the "Class" membership that you want members to check-in under and click Select.

Start Checking Members in:

The Start Class Check-in button changes color to a red color and is now labeled End Class Check-in. Now when a member checks in with the selected membership, they will automatically be checked in under the default membership.

At some time after the class begins, turn off Class Check-in or change the default Class membership to check-in under. Now you can run reports of attendance by class.
